The White Center Food Bank is holding its 6th annual dinner/auction fund-raiser this year on October 16. For the second year in a row we will continue last year's “Have a Seat at the Table” chair project.

Last year, local artists designed and decorated chairs that were auctioned for the benefit of the Food Bank. Some of the unique designs and themes included a child's seaside chair complete with sand pail and small shovel, a rattan jungle chair with toy leopard, a lavender-painted chair with a pot of lavender set into the “seat”, and a glitter and gold folding chair. Some student groups also created chairs for this worthy project.

This year, the entries will be juried, and the top twelve entries will be accepted for auction, three of them in the live auction, the remaining nine chairs in the silent auction. These chairs make a wonderful addition to a business, garden, or home.
