COMMUNITY GARDEN: The food bank partners with the White Center Community Development Association and King County Parks to administer the new community garden at White Center Heights Park. Raised beds are available to the community through a lottery. The food bank will have garden tools and provide education on organic gardening. The food bank will garden one of the raised beds to provide additional produce for its clients. Gardeners may volunteer to donate produce to the food bank. This garden will provide the community with fresh produce to supplement their diet.
EMERGENCY FEEDING PROGRAM: Our partnership with the Emergency Feeding Program allows us to provide clients with emergency food bags if they come to the food bank outside of regular distribution hours or if they have already received maximum services for the month. Each bag provides emergency food for at least 2 days. We distribute emergency bags Monday - Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM.
