The White Center Food Bank offers clients several services and programs based on their needs. We also offer several food distribution hours to meet the needs of seniors and working clients. And we provide home delivery for folks who have special needs.

We are open Monday, Wednesday & Fridays 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Evening food bank

We are open the 2nd & 4th Wednesday evenings 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm to accommodate clients who work during regular business hours and need supplemental food. The evening hours are conducted in cooperation with the White Center Kiwanis Club, Evergreen High School Key Club and the 34th District Democrats.

Senior Days

We are open Thursdays 11:00 am – 1:00 pm for Senior clients (60 years or older) to receive food that helps them meet unique dietary needs.

Saturday food bank

This is held the 3rd Saturday of every month, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm to our clients who have busy work schedules and to help ease the crowding of certain days.

Community garden

The food bank partners with the White Center Community Development Association and King County Parks to administer the community garden at White Center Heights Park. Raised beds are available to the community through a lottery. The food bank has garden tools and provides education on organic gardening. The food bank gardens one of the beds to provide additional produce for its clients. Gardeners may volunteer to donate produce to the food bank. This garden provides the community with fresh produce to supplement their diet.

Emergency feeding program

Our partnership with the Emergency Feeding Program allows us to provide clients with emergency food bags if they come to the food bank outside of regular distribution hours or if they have already received maximum services for the month. Each bag provides emergency food for at least 2 days. We distribute emergency bags Monday – Friday between 9 am – 5 pm.

Healthy food gift certificates

Each client/family receives a $5 certificate monthly redeemable at Hung Long, Lee’s Produce or Samway Market located in White Center for fresh produce. All three markets offer cultural selections and great prices which stretches a $5 purchase and supplements our distribution.
